Beginning in the veterinary field over 40 years ago, my dream to establish a well-run veterinary practice that offered expert medical care and preeminently focused on the needs of our clients and patients has come to fruition. A strong component of our success has embodied the philosophy that we must continually strive to improve every aspect of the care and services we provide. Namely, our core strength revolves around the expertise of our veterinarians who are supported by an extremely committed group of administrators, technicians and front office staff. So, planning for the well-being of our practices for future decades to come, I would like to announce the partnership that I’ve established with Associate Veterinarian, Dr. Crystal Berarducci who is now a co-owner of Braden River and Braden River Animal Hospitals.
Dr. Berarducci was first introduced to our clients over 13 years ago when she worked at Braden River Animal Hospital dually as a front office receptionist and veterinary technician. At the time, Dr. Berarducci was preparing for her studies to one day enter the University of Florida’s College of Veterinary Medicine. Upon graduating from veterinary school in 2011, Dr. Berarducci first worked at a local practice in the Bradenton area. Soon thereafter, we were incredibly fortunate to have her return to Braden River Animal Hospital as one of our Associate Veterinarians.
Along with being a very astute clinician and tremendous surgeon, Dr. Berarducci will also be working closely with our Hospital Managers, Debbie Carmichael at Braden River Animal Hospital and Dawn Bezilla at Braden River Animal Hospital. Their collaboration overseeing daily hospital operations will help ensure that our administrative teams at both practices have the support they need from our leadership.
The strongest aspect of offering the highest-quality of patient care revolves around the individual strengths of our entire veterinary team which also includes Associate Veterinarians Dr. John Pierce and Dr. Barbara Lewis. Immensely compassionate and highly skilled, both doctors complete a veterinary “dream team” that we will continue to build upon.
Dr. Pierce came to Braden River Animal Hospital 3 years ago, by way of Ohio, during our wide-spread recruiting efforts to find the best of the best in veterinary medicine. With almost 10 years of experience as a small animal veterinarian, Dr. Pierce exemplifies our practice’s top-level culture and medical competency with his caring and compassionate demeanor. Paired with excellent diagnostic skills, Dr. Pierce equally shares a passion for performing in the surgical arena along with establishing deep bonds with our clients and patients. Dr. Pierce sees patients at Braden River Animal Hospital during the week and on scheduled Saturdays.
Dr. Barbara Lewis is also a very well-seasoned veterinarian with over 18 years of veterinary experience. She has been a well-respected colleague of mine for many years in the Bradenton community and we were thrilled to have her join our veterinary team in 2017. Incredibly warm-hearted and compassionate, Dr. Lewis is a wonderful “people person” and phenomenal clinician. Appointments to address your pet’s healthcare needs can be made with Dr. Lewis at either Braden River or Braden River Animal Hospitals.
In summary, I feel extremely blessed that we are surrounded by extremely caring and compassionate doctors and staff who are aligned with the same philosophy that I’ve embodied throughout my entire career…to meet and exceed your expectations on a daily basis. As we grow and expand our expert medical team and support staff, our promise to you is to work even harder to strengthen the bond that we have established and continually cherish with each of you and your beloved pets.
